School of Design and Innovation

B.Des. (Hons.) (Interior Environments)

Programme Overview

B.Des. (Hons.) (Interior Environments) explores the lived experience of interior spaces from the public to the private, preparing practitioners to be agile and adaptive to the evolving needs of the environment, inclusivity, health and wellbeing. Students will engage with the complex range of the technical, aesthetic, functional and ethical aspects of spatial design, learning through a series of studio-based projects across different regional, institutional, typological contexts.

The programme prepares students for careers in interior design, and related fields such as exhibition design, production design. The liberal arts component and project-based learning approach expand the scope of professional trajectories to include artistic practices, design journalism and research.
